Full program description
There is a way to teach our community's children that isn't just schooling them.
At TAF's Summer Institute, we take seriously the importance of training teachers to lead creative, exciting, equity-infused classrooms grounded in students' lived experiences and dreams. Not just reading from a curriculum, but planning inquiry-based projects that begin and end with authentic student interest and engagement.
"This was one of the most useful trainings I've been to in YEARS!" - Teacher at Olympic View Elementary
Over the course of three days, you will learn instructional strategies to embed equity into your classroom's structures, develop a high-quality project-based learning experience for your students, and connect with other innovative and creative teachers from across the Puget Sound.

- Tuesday, August 12th: Building Student-Centered Mini-Projects
- Wednesday, August 13th: Creating Lesson Plans that Empower Students to Drive Their Own Learning
